The FutureEd Pathfinders: Design Your Career Path is an exciting opportunity for students to participate in an idea challenge aimed at designing career education programming. Through this engaging and team-oriented process, students will have the chance to amplify their voices and develop proposals for improving career education. We believe that companies and organizations often miss out on valuable insights from students regarding the experiences they find motivating and helpful in preparing for their future careers. This challenge aims to provide high schoolers in metropolitan Detroit with a platform to share their ideas for enhancing career programming.
We are seeking volunteers to support this event on Tuesday, April 30, at the Detroit Historical Museum located at 5401 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48202 from approximately 9 am to 2 pm. As a volunteer, you will serve as a greeter, welcoming guests upon arrival and providing direction regarding minor event logistics. Your assistance will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. In addition to being part of this impactful event, volunteers will have the opportunity to observe the student presentations and witness the creativity and thoughtfulness involved in the program.
Food and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Dr. Arlene Williams at NAF at 757 974 4820 or awilliams@naf.org. Your support will make a difference in empowering students to shape their own career paths. Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you and working together to create a meaningful event for students.
