Bundle up and join us for a rewarding garden build day at Towne Centre. Less than half a mile from the urban farm, Towne Centre is an income-based community subsidized rental community for residents aged 62+. The community at Towne Centre love gardening but need help rebuilding their new garden beds.
Tasks include: moving wood around, shoveling, drilling garden beds together, wheelbarrow use
We have several shovels, wheelbarrows, gloves, and power drills to go around. However, the more the merrier. Please bring the following if you own:
Power drill, specifically an impact driver
Garden gloves
We will have access to the inside of the building for any bathroom, water refills, or breaks to warm up.
Parking: Visitor parking is available in the parking lot on the corner of Michigan Ave and Hamilton, facing Dos Hermanos. You can also find parking on the street behind the apartment complex, near the fenced in garden.
