Please join us for Trunk or Treat at The Children’s Center, taking place Friday, October 21, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm—rain or shine*!
Gather up a few of your friends, family, and colleagues to decorate a vehicle in a kid-friendly, spooktacular manner, then get into your best costume to hand out treats for over 500 children! This event allows our children to celebrate Halloween in a fun-filled and safe environment.
Each vehicle should arrive at 2:30 pm to allow time to decorate, get into costume, and get ready for trick-or-treaters to arrive. In the interest of safety for all involved, trick-or-treaters will remain in their vehicles and will be provided with butterfly nets to be held out of their windows for you to drop their treats into from a distance.
A few tips to make the event go smoothly:
- Prepare treats in advance for 500. If you’re planning on giving multiple pieces of candy to each child, it’s helpful to pre-package into individual bags to make sure you don’t run out before the end of the event!
- **NEW THIS YEAR** - As The Children’s Center falls under the federal CMS Vaccine Mandate, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 as currently defined by the CDC (two doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson). All participants must sign an Attestation of Vaccination to be a part of this event.
- For the safety of all involved, participating vehicles CANNOT leave their assigned parking spot until 6 pm; no exceptions can be made.
- Costumes are encouraged, but please remember our audience! Please refrain from anything too scary, don’t carry any weapons, and avoid anything too gory.
- No pets, please - animals look super cute in costume, but can be difficult for some of our participants to be around. Please keep your pups at home for this event!
Trophies will be awarded for the following: Best Vehicle Decorations, Most Spirit, and Best Costumes!! Adrienne is ready for you to confirm your participation via email at apolumbo@thechildrenscenter.com! Please include the number of cars planning to participate.
