DESCRIPTION: This role is project-based. Freedom House Detroit (FHD) is seeking an artist or architect who can render the organization’s vision of its physical space. The renderings would need to be available in digital and print formats. FHD is not seeking a formal architectural rendering. Instead, it is seeking conceptual renderings.
These renderings will be used as a visual aid in recruiting sponsors, donors, and supporters to the cause of raising funds for capital improvements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with design, graphic design, drawing, or architectural drawing.
- Reliable phone, computer, and robust, private internet connection.
- Proficiency in Google Apps and video and teleconferencing software.
- Submission of some prior work examples or portfolio is a plus.
- Submit renderings by negotiated deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review photos of FHD’s site (or visit in person--depending on location. At this time, visitors are not allowed inside, so the internal space would be shown through photo or video).
- Meet remotely with FHD’s Chief Operating Officer to better understand the agency’s vision and plans.
- The number of renderings would be negotiated with the selected candidate. FHD understands the value of the artists’ time and product and prefers to have the artist’s input on what s/he can provide.
