The Scleroderma Foundation Michigan Chapter will be hosting our 41st, Stampede Scleroderma Walk and Run at the Detroit Zoo on June 7, 2020. This event hosts over 1,100 scleroderma patients, family members, caregivers, medical professionals and those from the community. We have entertainment, vendors, snacks, raffles, a pediatric children's area, a support group area, give away's a 1 mile walk through Huntington Woods and a 5K run through Huntington Woods.
We are in need of a total of 130 volunteers to assist with this event! We need volunteers in all areas. The set-up begins at 6:00 a.m., rain or shine and the events ends with clean up and the truck being loaded by 10:45. We also need 6 people to return to the office to help unload the truck.
All volunteers can spend the day at the zoo at no cost. Volunteers must be over the age of 13 years and be able to stand for most volunteer roles.
This is a family-friendly fun event held in the Water Tower Parking Lot of the Detroit Zoo. No parking fees and spend the day at the zoo free after volunteering.
