Corner Shower and Laundry Project

Join Mercy-USA and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in our efforts to renovate a space meant to provide homeless individuals with laundry and shower facilities. This is a vital service for homeless individuals who lack basic hygiene amenities, a problem that could lead to major health issues like infection and gangrene.

This was the case for one of St.Peter’s Episcopal Church homeless beneficiaries, John, who lost both his legs due to gangrene.

“If the shower and laundry service was functioning at that time, John’s legs would have been saved. There would’ve been access to clean socks, soap and water for his wounds and people to surround him to get the care he needs.” – Janet Ray, Committee Member
