Our social media accounts make this information accessible to more people. Your help designing posts will help us better communicate accurate, reliable health information that can make a real difference in someone's life.
We're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and skills to help us improve how we show up on social media. See what we're currently doing: @healthed4everyone on Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky.
What You'll Do
- Create content for Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky based on material we provide
- This could include graphics, illustrations, short videos, or reels! Let us know your skills and interests
- Use Canva templates we provide, or pitch your own creative direction
- Submit your work for review before posting
- Optional: Suggest content ideas and ways to improve our social media outreach
What We Provide
- Post content and direction (you're not writing from scratch)
- Canva templates you can copy and customize
- An online queue where you pick which posts you want to make
- Feedback on your work (we may make edits to ensure it meets our accessibility and content standards)
- Support and communication - we're here to answer questions and help you succeed
- Letter of recommendation
- Credit on the posts you create, which you can use for your portfolio
This Role is a Good Fit If You
- Are comfortable using Canva or willing to learn
- Want to build your social media or design portfolio
- Communicate clearly
- Are open to feedback and comfortable with a revision process
- Are committed to making accessible, engaging, and accurate posts
- Are interested in health, accessibility, or nonprofit work (no medical background needed)
Time Commitment
Flexible. Once you claim a post, you'll have 5 days to complete it. Each post takes roughly 30-60 minutes. You choose when to sign up and how many posts to take. There's no ongoing weekly commitment.
A Note About Us
We're a small, young nonprofit and this is a brand new volunteer role. That means you'll help us shape the system as we go. We're looking for someone who doesn't mind a few bumps along the way and is excited to build something with us.
