You’re invited to our Open House Event on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm. Please join us for a tour of our Clubhouse to meet our members, and enjoy food, music and community. Your contributions, no matter the size, impact the lives of your neighbors and colleagues. Our goal with this event is to raise awareness about Fresh Start Clubhouse and gain support in achieving our mission to empower people with mental illness in Washtenaw County.
Fresh Start Clubhouse is working to make Washtenaw County a place where every person has access to the healing power of community. The clubhouse model, rooted in social practice, addresses social symptoms of mental illness while providing employment, housing, and skills development assistance. We have been serving the Washtenaw community for over 20 years, and this year we became a freestanding 501(c) 3 nonprofit.
During the pandemic we had to leave our longtime home on State Street and were fortunate to be able to use a space furnished by Washtenaw County Community Mental Health for the past 2.5 years. We recently moved to a new location, at 211 E Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti. On the second floor of the CHS building off of Park Street.
We would love to welcome you into our new home! This event is free to the public. We are hoping to raise funds for our growing program, make new community partnerships, and welcome new members.
