Who We Are
Mission: To provide an environment for congenial fellowship for a diverse group of members dedicated to community service, primarily in Washtenaw County with an emphasis on the needs of children and families.
The Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving the local community through charitable giving, scholarships, and support for children and families. Supported by members, volunteers, and staff, our foundation operates one of Ann Arbor’s most beloved community thrift sales.
Kiwanis International was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915 by a group of businessmen. By 1919 the group identified its focus to service, specifically service to children. Today, Kiwanis clubs and over 600,000 members are helping children thrive, prosper, and grow in nearly 80 nations and geographic locations.
