Waypoint Outreach Initiative

Waypoint Outreach Initiative is a grassroots, community-based organization founded in Ypsilanti, Michigan. We are a growing team of volunteers, peer supporters, and community advocates committed to helping people move forward with dignity, compassion, and respect. Our work is shaped by lived experience, service, recovery, and a belief that everyone deserves access to practical support, trusted resources, and meaningful community connection.

Waypoint Outreach Initiative provides peer support, resource navigation, harm reduction education, veteran support, and women’s reentry assistance throughout Ypsilanti and Washtenaw County. We help individuals connect with housing, food, recovery, mental health, employment, identification, transportation, legal-service referrals, and other community resources. We also organize outreach events, workshops, donation programs, and partnerships designed to reduce barriers and strengthen community support.
