Washtenaw County Resiliency Office

Who We Are

Launched in 2024, the Resiliency Office in Washtenaw County plays a crucial role in fostering sustainability and climate action across the organization and the whole region.

What We Do

Our mission is to enhance the county's ability to withstand and recover from various challenges, including climate change, economic shifts, and social disparities. The office oversees the Resilient Washtenaw Plan, which includes ambitious climate goals: achieving carbon neutrality for county operations by 2030 and for the entire county by 2035. The broader objectives of the plan encompass promoting environmental stewardship, ensuring social equity, and strengthening economic resilience, all aimed at creating a more sustainable and inclusive future for the county’s residents.
