Who We Are

Mission: To create a nurturing and supportive environment for foster youth as they transition into adulthood. We are committed to equipping these resilient individuals with the skills, resources, and support systems they need to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

Life After Care (LAC) was founded by Jazley Trouser, a former foster youth who experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating the transition into adulthood without a support system. After overcoming significant obstacles, Jazley recognized the need for a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering foster youth and providing them with the tools they need to succeed beyond the care system.

What We Do

At Life After Care, we work with youth within the foster care system to educate them on self-sustainability and basic life skills. Through our five-pillar program of Financial Literacy, Character Development, Cultural Exploration, Career Exploration and Culinary & Health we are able to help youth that are experiencing trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges instability, abandonment, displacement and countless other issues gain education and the necessary skills and support, through our program.
