S.O.L.O. (Saving Our Lost Ones)

Mission: To culturally expose At-Risk youth to a life that goes beyond their neighborhoods and to transform their thinking from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.

S.O.L.O: Saving Our Lost Ones is a non-profit, community-building organization that serves as an educational hub and resource to young adults in the metro-Detroit area. Saving Our Lost Ones is dedicated to rebuilding strong communities and youth mindsets. As an organization we are committed to providing the youth of Southeastern Detroit the opportunity to created a culture of success in their community. The Southeastern Detroit has been the victim of poverty, blight and crime for the last six decades. The continuities of the area’s primary problem have existed for this extended period of time because of the lack of access to an adequate education, lack of leadership and emotional support.

Believing that any space can be a classroom, SOLO influences community growth through targeted projects, seminars and activities designed to teach our youth about health, activism, how to shift their mindsets to positive thinking and how to be fruitful, frugal and effective with their finances.

We help the youth overcome the distractions of societal norms and transform their mindsets to higher thinking that teaches them that Health, Economic stability and Financial literacy is the true wealth.
