What We Do
The Peoples Action” is a 501c3 Detroit based grassroots resident driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of poor Detroiters, through advocacy and direct programming efforts in five key areas: Community Development, Direct Resources, Basic Needs, Community Advocacy and Safety. Our five focuses fall under our program called Adopt The Block. Adopt The Block’s mission is to build a safe thriving community by partnering with residents through participatory practices which will increase their level of engagement in their own neighborhoods, while becoming active in solving community problems. "Our mission is to vastly improve the socioeconomic condition of Blacks and other historically oppressed people. We take action and fight for the human rights and dignity of all human beings facing exploitation and injustice.” Join us in our endeavor to make history in Detroit and across the nation, making it a brighter future for everyday people.
