Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance

The Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MIOCA) strives to  promote the early detection of ovarian cancer and improved treatment outcomes. MIOCA raises awareness of ovarian cancer, provides resources and support to survivors and their families, advocates both locally and federally, educates Michigan communities, and funds innovative ovarian cancer research.

We attend and host awareness events in communities throughout Michigan where we raise awareness and educate people  on the importance of  knowing their family history.  We advocate  for research funding to find improved treatment outcomes and with hope that one day  we have an early screening and detection test.Daily we support our warriors in the state of Michigan who are in the fight by offering the following :

survivor totes for newly diagnosed 

monthly support groups

other programs to enrich the lives of those on their cancer journey 

During our National Awareness month in September we do a campaign called Tie Michigan Teal where we tie teal ribbons across the state to raise the awareness of ovarian cancer.
