Volunteer: ImmersEd Inc. Field Trip CoordinatorHelp us create the ultimate school experience for middle school students in Detroit! ImmersEd Inc. believes that every child, regardless of zip code, deserves to fall in love with learning. We believe that engagement is highest when students understand the "why" behind their learning, and that every student deserves opportunities to experience the real-life application of their work in the classroom. Unfortunately, due to budget and time constraints, this is not possible for many schools in the Detroit area. ImmersEd Inc. seeks to close this gap by pairing middle schools in Detroit with experiential learning opportunities (think field trips!) that map directly to students' curriculum. As a developing non-profit, we are looking for someone who can help us brainstorm around experiences that tie into middle school curriculum. We provide the planning template; we just need your ideas! Responsibilities include finding field trip locations around Metro Detroit; writing reflection questions to connect field trips to curriculum; and contacting locations to inquire about logistics around field trips. Please contact us if you are interested in being part of our organization's foundation! Community Partner: ImmersEd Inc.
