This is a great way for community members to become involved in our work on a low-key scale. Training will be provided in person and on self-paced videos. Receptionists are asked to make a weekly commitment (three to four hours) during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am – 4pm). We encourage all volunteers to stay in their roles for up to 6 months. Some topics we are looking to cover include: Job Assistance Financial Assistance/Money Management Utilizing Community Resources (medical, mental/emotional, etc.) Diabetes Management Smoking Cessation Personal Safety etc. We want presenters to be knowledgeable enough about the topics that they are well-equipped for any follow-up questions with clients, so we are looking for people/organizations that have a professional background or license in the respective topic.
