Volunteer: Lobby Runner at Hope Clinic

Hope Clinic offers free, whole-person healthcare to those without insurance, and we need folks to be there for them when they walk in the door!

Lobby Runners help with a variety of tasks at our Ypsilanti location, including:  check-in volunteers; receive/organize drop-off donations and deliveries that flow in to us throughout the day from generous donors; helping the Front Desk team with varied tasks/projects as needed.

Volunteer: ImmersEd Inc. Grant Writer

Help us create the ultimate school experience for middle school students in Detroit!

ImmersEd Inc. believes that every child, regardless of zip code, deserves to fall in love with learning. We believe that engagement is highest when students understand the "why" behind their learning, and that every student deserves opportunities to experience the real-life application of their work in the classroom. Unfortunately, due to budget and time constraints, this is not possible for many schools in the Detroit area. ImmersEd Inc. seeks to close this gap by pairing middle schools in Detroit with experiential learning opportunities (think field trips!) that map directly to students' curriculum.

As a developing nonprofit, ImmersEd Inc. is looking for someone to help us find and/or write grants to secure critical funding for our programs. As a grant writer, you would be responsible for co-creating a bank of possible grants to apply for and working with other ImmersEd volunteers on writing them by their deadline.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about our mission and who can bring that mission to light through their writing. We are flexible with scheduling, in terms of the hours of the day worked (pick your own schedule!) and the number of hours per week.

Please respond to this post or reach out to info@immerseddetroit.org if you are interested or have questions. We would love to see any samples of previous writing you have done.

Thank you for helping us create the best opportunities for the amazing students of Detroit!
