Members of the Board of Directors for Green Living Science exercise ultimate authority for guiding the organization’s mission, values, goals and strategies.

Members of the board have legal and fiduciary responsibilities and commit to honor these responsibilities.


Members of the board are required to be familiar with and abide by at all times the governing documents and policies of the organization including but not limited to its Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Board Member Responsibilities:

Conducting effective organizational planning Approving and monitoring the organization’s programs and services Fostering collaboration between Green Living Science and other organizations Making a personal commitment to actively participate in the organization’s resource
development activities Each board member will contribute to raising funds or finding services to
decrease the cost of organization’s expense.  Annual giving responsibility of $250 per board member  Overseeing fiscal affairs and fiscal health of organization  Selecting, supervising and evaluating the executive director of the organization  Working to enhance and protect the public image of the organization  Advancing the mission and goals of Green Living Science, rather than serving the
interests of any special interest group or constituency The board meets monthly on the first Monday of every month at 5pm. Members may
participate by phone or in person. A minimum of 10 meetings is required.
