This winter, get out on the ice and inspire families to try a new winter sport: ice fishing! The Kids Ice Fishing Clinic teaches kids about winter fishing, safety practices, and types of fish. Then, staff and volunteers take the kids out on the ice for a practice session. Two volunteer positions are available. Ice Fishing Helpers (3-5 volunteers requested)
• Play an essential role supporting children & families to learn a new winter activity.
• You’re a people person who likes kids, doesn’t mind baiting hooks with worms and enjoys being outside in cold weather.
• No prior ice fishing experience required. General fishing experience preferred.
• Please arrive between 8:15am and 8:30am for training.
Assistant Ice Fishing Instructor (1 volunteer requested)
• Play an essential role supporting children & families to learn a new winter activity, and develop leadership and presentation experience supporting the Lead Instructor.
• You’re a people person with years of experience ice fishing. You hold extensive knowledge of—and like to teach others about—ice fishing equipment, techniques, and safety.
• Please arrive at 8am for setup
