We need your help carrying giant puppets!
The large puppets have been created, and to help make this event a smashing success, we need volunteers to carry them down the street during FestiFools on Sunday, April 3. RAIN OR SHINE! Sign up and join us.
What: FestiFools is an annual community event in the heart of Ann Arbor, featuring giant handmade puppets, merriment, and random acts of Foolishness. This year's ginormous puppets will celebrate at a NEW LOCATION on S. State Street between S. University and William Streets.
Who: We need puppet wranglers and merrymakers! Puppet carriers should be able to carry a 25 lb. puppet for an hour while marching and dancing down the street as part of a parade. (Don't worry! We have ways to make this more ergonomic, and the music and smiling crowds make it FUN!)
We're also looking for anyone who's with the puppet wranglers but isn't into carrying large puppets, to participate as merrymakers, including kids of all ages! They can march and dance alongside the puppets on the route.
When and Where: On Sunday, April 3 at 3pm, meet us at the puppet staging area behind the University of Michigan Museum of Art, off S. University, in between UMMA and Tappan Hall. The parade goes from 4-5pm down State Street. When it's over, return the puppet to the staging area.
Perks: Joy and community involvement! And to sweeten the deal, you get 5,000 Summer Game points for marching along and participating with us.
