Description

Circles is a relationship-based program designed to break the cycle of poverty permanently.  It matches low-income people with two middle-income partners called Allies who help broaden their social network.  We also offer resource teams who provide specific skills to our individuals who are working their way out of poverty.

We need people who can help with:

 Jobs/Workforce Readiness
*Facilitating "More than Ready" (Job readiness) classes
*Helping Individual participants with Resume Writing
*Helping Individuals with their Personal/Professional Inventory (taking & interpreting career aptitude tests)
*Providing research on market trends in jobs
*Helping individual participants identify skills that would make them more marketable

Educational Advancement
*Helping participants apply for college
*Helping participants apply for scholarships (find due dates, criteria, etc)
*Helping participants take entrance exams (prep for SAT/ACT)
*Helping teens of our adult parents plan for life after high school

Time Commitment:  quarterly meetings, then one-on-one work with participants on occasional Tuesday evenings as needed.
