Join Sidewalk Detroit April 22, 10am - 2pm, in collaboration with Brightmoor Artisans Collective, as we work to beauitfy Detroit's Brightmoor neighborhood. Volunteers will meet at Brightmoor Artisans' location at 10am for a brief orientation and then will participate in one of the following tasks:
- Cleaning up trash along Fenkell ave, the community's main corridor
- Preparing a few community gardens and park spaces for the growing and the summer season
- Working in Eliza Howell Park. The work in the park will include cleaning up trash, nature trail maintenance, as well as maintenance of the beautiful Patrick Dougherty Stickwork sculpture.
The event will end with an Earth Day celebration including food and live music.
