The Henry Ford Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer institutions in Michigan. Our highly skilled doctors, researchers, nurse navigators and other healthcare specialists provide world class cancer care to thousands of patients each year.
Administration of chemotherapy can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 10 hours. Whatever the duration, Infusion Clinic volunteers play a key role in keeping patients comfortable by providing entertainment, conversation, light snacks or a warm blanket. If you have a welcoming, approachable attitude and enjoy providing comfort and care, this is the role for you!
This position is stationed in the Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion located at 2800 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI. Please note that this location is scheduled to open January 2021. We are actively enrolling volunteers to begin their role in January 2021.
