Volunteer: Child Team Member - Infant/Toddler Help

Early Head Start: Free program that helps families with children under the age of three reach developmental milestones by providing a healthy and stimulating environment. Program runs all year.
* Location: Inkster, Crestwood (Redford), Livonia, Detroit
* Commitment: Volunteers are needed anytime Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. for a minimum of one day a week for 2 hours. We will accept hours for school credit.
* Group Size: Up to 6 - can be one time opportunity.
* Requirements: Ages 18 and up preferred. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application, pass a background check, central registry clearance, and TB test to qualify.
* Volunteer duties: Assist in classrooms by supporting teachers by reading, playing, and engaging with children 3 years and younger. Volunteers are also needed to organize, clean, and help with paperwork.

Starfish Family Services is looking for volunteers to join our child team! Through a program called Starfish University, we are able to provide parents with a range of classes, support, conferences and events that will build their confidence, knowledge, skills and resources to get past barriers and support their children.

As a child team member, you will provide child care and activities for infants and toddlers while their parents/families undergo training and classes to promote personal growth.
