Volunteer: Ongoing Weekend VolunteersThe Children’s Healing Center is the first year-round recreation facility providing social and emotional healing for kids with weakened immune systems and their families in a safe, clean environment. We utilize volunteers for all of our programs, but need extra help for our weekend programs from September through June. There are two Saturday programs (morning from 10-12 or afternoon 2-4) and two Friday night programs (6-8pm) each month. Volunteers will assist kids with art projects, playing games, serving snacks, and supervising free play. All volunteers are subject to an interview, background checks and reference checks. Monday morning (9:30am-12:30pm) Fun programs focused on pre-school aged kiddos Includes ABC & Me series and other fun, play-related activitiesTuesday evening (5:30-8:30pm) Family-focused programs that includes dinner 1-2 times each monthWednesday morning (9:30-12:00) Free play program focused on pre-school aged kids Has a planned craft and open play in the gym or exploratory play roomWednesday afternoon (12:00-2:30) Free play program focused on pre-school aged kids Has a planned craft and open play in the gym or exploratory play roomWednesday evening (5:30-8:30pm) Family-focused programsAll volunteers are subject to an interview, background checks, and reference check.
