Volunteer: 04/16/26 - Packing Literacy Kits for SOS Community ServicesSOS is hosting a group in April to put together literacy kits for families in our Parents as Teachers program. This is part of United Way's global volunteer month and also our work focus on literacy for the spring season. Volunteers would assemble take-home literacy kits that go directly into home visits and group connections. Each kit would include: 1 children’s book Parent tip sheet (how to read interactively) Simple literacy activity (letter cards, story prompts, or picture walk) Crayons or markers PAT & SOS literacy resource sheet Each kit would support one child for months of reading, language, and bonding.
