Volunteer: Blankets Needed for Local OrganizationsWorld Medical Relief is seeking donations of new twin-size blankets for its Blanket Relief Program, which benefits homeless shelters, human service agencies, churches, and other organizations. Donations may be dropped off at 21725 Melrose Ave., Southfield, MI 48075 between 8:00am and 4:00pm in the back of the building at the blue donations door. Team leaders will show how it is done. There is not a lot of lifting involved but most work is done standing. It is suitable for age 12 and up as long as one is able to read the expiration date. Those who do have a medical background and the time available may become team leaders. It is an ongoing position and many volunteers are needed. Help communities locally, nationally and abroad and turn the waste of our society into life-saving goods.
