Who We Are

Mission: To organize 3.5% of Michigan, tear down the barriers of inequality and replace what remains with dignity and opportunity.

We are a broad, statewide coalition working to reform our broken immigration system, protect our environment and end mass incarceration. We develop the leadership of our members to eradicate the root causes of racial and economic injustice.

We are committed to a participatory democracy at every level, an economy that works for the many, and a society that dismantles racism while uplifting our common humanity. To ignite the power of our communities and shift the balance of power, we cultivate the leadership of those directly affected by injustice, and build popular institutions for the future.

What We Do

We conduct civic engagement activities and train everyday community members to run for office. We offer English as a Second Language classes and immigration legal services by a BIA accredited representative. We facilitate community organizing campaigns to win local change.
