The Prevailing Church

The Prevailing Church is a non-denominational church that is committed to the Word of God. According to Matthew 16:18, Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior is the architect and head of His Church. Therefore, we are committed to seeing the lives of people, families and communities impacted through and by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that every man, woman, boy and girl are valuable in the eyes of God.

The Prevailing Church is Committed To:

• Family – We are dedicated to building, restoring, and supporting families, while also serving as a caring community for those without one.
• Children & Youth – We prioritize the well-being of children and youth—especially the fatherless—offering love, support, and opportunities for growth.
• Love & Compassion – We extend Christ-like love to the hurting, neglected, and those burdened by life.
• Education & Empowerment – We offer mentorship, training, and resources in academics, health, finance, entrepreneurship, and more to empower individuals and families.
• Black Males & Females – We are especially committed to mentoring and uplifting Black youth, a passion personally championed by Pastor R.V. Sykes, Sr.
• Resources & Support – Through our storehouse, we provide essentials such as food, clothing, and hygiene items to those in need.
• Discipleship – We are devoted to making disciples through structured, ongoing spiritual education—helping individuals grow in faith and live victorious Christian lives.
