Metro Food Rescue

Who We Are

So, who is Metro Food Rescue?

We’re a food rescue organization with a simple mission: Waste Less. Feed More.

We rescue good food that would otherwise be thrown away and get it where it belongs—to community organizations feeding their neighbors.

And the impact is growing:

What We Do

What does Metro Food Rescue do?

We rescue good food before it becomes waste—and move it to the people and communities who need it.

We work with grocery stores, restaurants, distributors, farms, caterers, hotels, and events to recover surplus food. Then we coordinate the trucks, volunteers, sorting, storage, and deliveries needed to get that food into the hands of more than 150 community partners.

In other words, we make sure food moves.

Because there’s not a food problem.
There’s a logistics problem.

And we’re here to solve it.

Food Doesn’t Move Itself.
