Who We Are

Mission: To provide effective education programs for adults seeking to improve their ability to successfully meet the challenges of everyday living by learning foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, and/or English as a Second Language in keeping with the Dominican commitment to education.

Siena Literacy was established in 1995 and is a 501c3 dedicated to ending adult illiteracy in Metro Detroit. Since 1995, over 600 tutors have assisted 2000 adult learners meet the challenges of their everyday lives. Siena Literacy Center is proud to be part of Dominican Rea Literacy Corporation and is an accredited affiliate of ProLiteracy. We are ALWAYS accepting new students and volunteers and have options for both in-person and remote learning.

What We Do

Siena Literacy Center provides one-to-one literacy tutoring to adults in foundational reading and math, computer skills, and English as a Second Language. Siena is also a certified Northstar Digital Literacy provider.
